Dunaverty Golf Club
Dunaverty Golf Club, near to the Mull of Kintyre, at Southend offers stunning views of Sanda Island and Ailsa Craig, which can be enjoyed while taking a moment to consider one’s shot on the challenging 18 holes.
The original course was laid out in 1889, sitting in historic land surrounding Dunaverty Rock which once sheltered Robert the Bruce himself. The old course gave way to the modern layout in the years before the Second World War and despite a period of disrepair through which it was nurtured back to its current verdant state, it is the same now as it was then, beautiful and engaging.
